February 2007 saw Accord Mediation acquire 7 Princes Street, Truro, from local solicitors Hancock Caffin. Sue Nicholls, Practice Director took the decision to relocate Head office from St Austell to Truro. The St Austell premises at Polkyth Road will be retained for clients who wish to be seen locally. As the practice had grown substantially over the past 11 years larger premises were needed to accommodate administration and since 2002 in addition Accord has been offering Commercial mediation for all areas of litigation. Truro, as Cornwall’s capital being centrally placed within the county, was the inevitable option. Accord has always shared a close working relationship with Hancock Caffin Solicitors with Mark Chanter, Peter Shaw and Toby Claridge all members of Accord’s panel of mediators.*
